Description

This process is required to obtain the rebuilt battery. We replace all the the cells and BMS and use your old case.
DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK. SHOCK, SPARK, FIRE CAN OCCUR IF BATTERY IS SHORTED WITH METAL TOOLS!
(YOU ASSUME ALL LIABILITY OF PERSONAL HARM OR PROPERTY DAMAGE BY USING THESE INSTRUCTIONS)

Wear safety goggles and use rubber coated work gloves!

First – place the battery on a non conductive surface (wood or rubber) and remove the 5 screws.

2 – pry case apart as shown while pressing with a small screwdriver as indicated. (photo 2&3)
3 – Do this for all bottom clips
4 – remove C sticker on front of battery and GENTLY cut any stickers along battery seam
5 – Open cased carefully.
6 – unplug charger port and main power connectors from cell cluster
7 – unplug on/off button (photo 9)
8 – CAREFULLY cut open clear plastic wrap (DO NOT CUT ANY WIRES)
9 – use a small screw driver to pry open black bms case (photo 16)
10 – Cut plasic case above on/off cable. NOT WIRES (photo 19)
11 – carefully remove glue with a knife from on/off switch plug and unplug (photo 21,22)
12 – remove small screws from power connection port (photo 24)
13 – send old case, on/off switch cable, power port, and all screws to us USPS First class mail.

14 – recycle old cells at batteries plus after you get your new battery back from us. (to make sure we get all parts)
Store cells in fireproof location once removed from case. (a cool BBQ works)
